A court in Vietnam has sentenced a prominent dissident to 30 months in prison for posting an Internet article criticizing government curbs on the media. ,

The Committee to Protect Journalists says Dr. Que has already spent 16 months in prison for doing nothing more than demonstrating his right to free expression. The group called for all charges against him to be dropped.
Human rights groups have said Dr. Que has spent 18 years in prison since the late 1970s for advocating democracy in Vietnam. He was arrested in 1990 after he issued an appeal for free,
